The Kannad Marine SafeLink AIS SART2 is a manual-deployment AIS Search and Rescue Transmitter designed to assist in locating survival craft and survivors during maritime emergencies. When activated, it transmits its unique identity and GNSS-derived position over AIS frequencies, allowing nearby AIS-equipped vessels and rescue authorities to identify and locate the survival craft. It is designed for SOLAS/GMDSS search and rescue applications as an alternative to traditional radar SART equipment.
