The NSR NAS-1000 is an AIS Search and Rescue Transmitter (AIS-SART) designed for emergency use on liferafts and survival craft. When activated, it transmits position reports and safety messages alternately on both AIS channels using a unique pre-configured identity, allowing nearby AIS-equipped vessels to identify and locate the survival craft. Its integrated GNSS receiver supports accurate positioning during search and rescue operations.
