The ACR GlobalFix V4 is a 406 MHz GPS Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) designed for maritime distress and search-and-rescue applications. It incorporates an internal GPS receiver to provide position information and transmits emergency alerts through the Cospas-Sarsat satellite system.
