The ACR PathFinder 3 is a radar Search and Rescue Transponder (SART) designed to assist search and rescue vessels in locating survival craft during maritime emergencies. When interrogated by a compatible X-band radar, the unit responds with signals that create a distinctive pattern on the radar display, helping rescuers determine the direction and location of the SART.
