The FURUNO VR-5000 is a Voyage Data Recorder designed to collect and preserve essential vessel navigation and status information for marine casualty investigation and operational review. The system records navigation and sensor data, bridge conversations, VHF communications and radar images. Recorded information can be retrieved using dedicated playback software for investigation, training and voyage analysis.
