The Jotron Tron 40S MkII is a 406 MHz Cospas-Sarsat Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon designed for maritime distress and search-and-rescue applications. The beacon supports automatic activation when released and immersed in water, while providing satellite distress alerting and a homing signal for rescue operations. It is a legacy Jotron GMDSS EPIRB and is no longer commercially available.
